In a very special one-time event at Gaffa Gallery, American fringe photographer Ken Werner presents his stunning Kodachrome slides of the deranged and extreme characters of the Halloween street celebrations in San Francisco's famed Castro District. Ken is the author of the underground classic photo-documentary HALLOWEEN: A Fantasy In Three Acts and also the creator of the award-winning U.S. magazine DARKROOM. His archive of Halloween images from the final quarter of the 20th century is a unique resource, and he's selected the most astonishing images of all for this special Sydney event, which follows on its acclaimed Australian premiere at last year's "Hello Darkness" Festival in Melbourne.

Ken will also briefly discuss the history of Halloween in San Francisco, and the surprising and
inspiring events that followed the publication of his Halloween book.

The Event is Free but due to the nature of parts of this work, 18 years and over only, please.
